My work is a reflection of all my "lives"- wife, mom, grandmother, teacher, fiber artist, painter, and potter. It is in the clay work that I find I can pull all the areas of my life together better than any other medium.
I have always been an artist, even as a child. While raising our family, my art consisted mostly of painting and crafts. It was not until our children were grown that I rediscovered my love of clay. I feel like I’ve found my "home".
Today, my pottery work includes raku, horsehair, functional, funky and reflective. I’m working to incorporate other materials such as wood, wire and yarn into my work. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. Oh, well. The fun continues...
